Prelude to Star Wars: The New Order

The Prelude Chronicles are stories that act as a lead up to the story set in Star Wars: The New Order and are meant to explain what has transpired in our iteration of the Galaxy Far, Far Away since the Sequel -trilogy. They are meant to explain how the various factions and parties of the galaxy have returned to power and the various conflicts that has transpired since. Each prelude story is narrated by a character and is told from their perspective in order to make the reading experience more immersive.

The prelude stories will continue as a series going forward, with interludes and preludes placed to explain anything that may occur during time-skips in between arcs if there are no filler arcs in place.

Enjoy and may the Force be with you, always.

History of the Galaxy, Part IV, Chapter I: Tengeans and the Great Intergalactic War

“The exact origins of Tengeans are unknown, however it is widely believed that eons ago their sleeper ships arrived in the distant galaxy by a mistake and possibly carried by the purrgil. Their birth home, however, is known to be in our galaxy. According to our recent studies, Tengeans likely originated from a planet called Nijenna, located at the inner edge of the Unknown Regions, at the border of the Outer Rim territories. The planet still houses a rich trove of artifacts and ancient tablets containing records of the events prior to their departure from the planet. The more important event among these was their exodus, which recounts that the deities they called Ayatar, or as we know them, the Mortis gods, guided them onto their sleeper ships which were then carried by the purrgil to their distant new, distant home galaxy. The tell-tales of the Tengeans recount many similar elements, and they share their composition with humans of our galaxy. This alone confirms their origins, more than likely. When they arrived at their new home, Tengea, the Attean people were fostered and taught by the Ayatar. They taught them how to wield the Force, which they refer to as the Aiur, and how to build and create anything, be it art or technology. The Ayatar gifted the Tengeans with what they call the Gift of Aya, near-immortality, binding their life-force to the light of their deities. This allowed some of the Tengeans to live for even thousands of years according to their tales. It is unknown how this was achieved, however I’ve concluded that this must’ve happened through very intricate manipulation of midi-chlorians which is yet unknown to us.

As eons passed, Tengeans developed a very different culture to ours, on many levels. They established a kingdom spanning their entire galaxy, ruled from the planet Tengea by the High King of their illuminated kingdom. Their worship of the Ayatar persisted for eons, with altars and temples found on all of their inhabited planets, cities, towns and villages. The greatest of them built on planet Tengea itself, based at the roots of a mighty gargantuan tree they call Telgerion, the great Golden Tree of Tengea. The governance of their kingdom was divided by seven houses, House Kameloth of Tengea, House Mordo of Mordo, House Accolon of Accolon, House Galhad of Galhad, House Lancet of Lancet, House Trastan of Transtan and lastly House Argavad of Argavad.

House Kameloth has been known as the royal house of the Tengean kingdom for the last sixty-thousand years, having produced every High King that has ever ruled the kingdom. They take pride in their honor and chivalry, fielding the mightiest army among the seven ruling houses and the now famous Tengean Knights, Force-wielding infantry that utilize their abilities to greatly enhance their fighting ability. House Mordo, on the other hand, rivals house Kameloth thanks to their powerful Sorcerers of Mordo, and their use of the Force is unlike any other. They are capable of controlling the basic elements of nature on a whim, and what unites the two Force-wielding organizations is that they do not differentiate between the dark or the light sides of the Force. They strictly wield it as a tool that defends their kingdom. House Accolon fields their navigators and their navy. Unlike us, who use computers and maps to navigate the many hyperspace lanes across the galaxy, Tengeans use navigators who use the Eye of Aiur, the Force to navigate. Despite their technology being immensely advanced and sophisticated, being well-capable of traversing intergalactic space, they do not trust in computers or droids, such as myself. They rely on their minds and the Force. During the war, our greatest advantage was in being able to fool their navigators thanks to the Jedi. The Tengeans quickly caught up to our tricks however, and learned how to circumvent our efforts. House Galhad produce the food for their kingdom and is vastly an agricultural society. House Lancet develops their technology, and is known for their engineers. House Trastan are known for their skills in construction and lastly, House Argavad is the home to their blacksmiths and miners, known for their mastery of Mirthea, or the Tengean steel that rivals the Beskar of Mandalorians. When the might of these houses is combined, they are a formidable and terrifying force that can wreak havoc to entire civilizations should they choose to do so. And in our case, they chose war.

High King Artheon the Ninth of House Kameloth received a vision of warriors from a distant galaxy invading Tengea to destroy their long-lived kingdom. The Sorcerers of Mordo confirmed his fears, and the greatest cause of worry that had emerged within the Tengean society was that the Gift of Aya had greatly diminished within the last one-thousand years. When they once lived for thousands of years, newborn Tengeans could only live for a couple centuries, and those who were older aged far more faster than ever prior. Believing that these warriors were the cause of their decline, after months of nearly delusional contemplating, Artheon decided to call his banners and end their decline by an preemptive strike on their supposed enemies: the Jedi. In 1032 ABY, the Tengean fleet emerged near their ancient home of Nijenna and quickly advanced through our galaxy without a warning and began a war that would change the face of our civilization entirely. The military of the Galactic Alliance had long been on a decline due to the lack of need for a greater defense fleet, with the many fleets of our government fielding an armada of only a couple-hundred Starhawk -class Mark IX battleships, along with a thousand smaller frigates. Tengeans, on the other hand, outnumbered us ten-to-one. We had the home field advantage and we knew our space better than they did, however due to the mysterious and unknown nature of our enemies it was a difficult war to fight regardless. Their knights and sorcerers also outnumbered our Jedi three-to-one, making the fight even worse. For a few months, we managed to keep the fight alive through war of attrition and scorched earth -tactics, sacrificing entire worlds to defeat them at certain battles, one of such being the Battle of Empress Teta. What was once a thriving, ancient ecumenopolis was now an abandoned city of ghosts, we evacuated the entire world worth hundreds of billions of citizens and allowed it to be destroyed to drive back our enemy. In the aftermath, the surface of the city remained a ruin and the once glistering peaks of skyscrapers were nothing but a memory.

Our successes were always short-lasting, and the tide of war finally turned once the 4th Fleet of Admiral Raius, who was the architect of our war efforts and considered our greatest military mind, disappeared abruptly along with his fleet. We first thought that the Tengeans might’ve caught him off guard and destroyed his fleet in its entirety, but we now know that such wasn’t the case. With his disappearance and our fleet in disarray, the Tengeans swiftly conquered most of known galactic territory and destroyed our military nearly in its entirety. The war concluded with the Siege of Coruscant, in which the Galactic Alliance finally yielded. This resulted in the mass execution of most Jedi that lived at the time, and some who had managed to survive the other catastrophic battles of the war had to stay hidden for long. After that, the Galactic Alliance dissolved and the galaxy at large became utterly ungoverned. With their goal complete, the Tengeans withdrew their forces, leaving a small vanguard on their ancient home planet of Nijenna to oversee the galaxy in case of potential Jedi resurgence. And thus, the Great Collapse was created.

History of the Galaxy, Part IV, Chapter II: The Great Collapse

”After the Great Intergalactic War, our galaxy fell into a regression that it hadn’t seen since the final days of the Old Republic and prior to the Ruusan reform. With no centralized government, defense, order or policy, things quickly fell into chaos. The lack of local defense, Alliance Fleet and the Jedi gave room to the rise of countless private armies and warlords that quickly spread through the expansion region, the mid and the outer rim regions of the galaxy. Hundreds of systems fell prey to these armies within just a matter of weeks, and they quickly confiscated the most important resources available to civilians at the time: fuel and hyperdrive technology, even spaceships in entirety along with valuables. On top of that, most planets ended up entirely blocked in terms of communication. This hindered most of the galaxy from interstellar travel and ability to even reach out for help, turning the galaxy into a wild space. Most Jedi that managed to escape the Coruscant Executions and somehow survived the war ended up on these planets, trying to help the local people by defending them. However, in most cases, the Jedi were ultimately rejected by local communities due to the fear of Tengean intervention, who were still very present in the galaxy at the time and scoured the galaxy for any surviving Jedi that could pose a threat. If someone ended up defending those Jedi, they’d share deathbeds in the end.

In the core, chaos erupted once the senate dissolved. While worlds like Chandrila and Corellia remained quite intact, Coruscant fell into civil chaos due to the lack of resources to house war refugees. Furthermore, with the local police utterly crippled, crime organizations and gangs took control of anything that happened in the lower levels of the planet. The chaos, however, became controlled sooner than expected. Known to few, the richest echelon of Coruscant and the remaining senators who wished to retain control over the core worlds quickly bribed these gangs and furthermore, the various private armies to retain control over populations. The remnants of the Hutt Cartel soon joined the business, and quickly formed a deal between the parties: the Hutts would fund the production of weaponry and ships for the many private armies and warlords, while Corellian shipyards would produce them. Together, they’d form a profitable business that’d thrive on the chaos of the galaxy. On top of that, the Alliance Remnant would establish an organization called the Spacing Guild, employing control over the travel in the hyperspace to “prevent warlord incursions”, which is indeed false information. In truth, they’d hire independent contractors and military personnel to capture any potential immigrants that would want to move to the core worlds. The passage to the core regions would be allowed only if the immigrants allowed their spacecraft to be confiscated or against a fee of 16,000 galactic credits, which few have to spare.

As chaos grew, organizations such as the White Hand and the Order of Bogan got more and more space and power within the vacuum that the Galactic Alliance left, all in secrecy and quiet.

End of transmission.”

History of the Galaxy, Part IV, Chapter III: The Rise of Bogan

”In 35 ABY, the Sith were finally defeated after thousands of years of war. Darth Sidious, the culmination of Darth Bane’s lineage, was beaten by the pupil of Luke Skywalker, Rey. But despite the death of Sidious, the dark side of the Force would remain and it’d find a new anchor sooner or later. The first two centuries of the newly reestablished Jedi Order were tumultuous least to say, with various conflicts arising with many dark elements which culminated in the eventual showdown with a menacing creature called Abeloth. The creature was defeated on the planet now called Vaiken Prime, on which she was found imprisoned. The Jedi Council at the time managed to kill the creature, which then led to a period of long lasting peace. But that peace was never meant to last. As the Jedi were distracted with rebuilding and conflict, the dark side of the Force found its anchor in Bogan—an entity that was long thought to be dead. Bogan was in fact, the Son—a god of Mortis that embodied the dark side itself.

Although he was killed by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, his essence escaped Mortis and roamed the galaxy until he regained enough strength to enact his plan to dominate the galaxy which he planned to do far prior to his eventual death. Prior to his imprisonment on Mortis, the Son had affected many parts and parties in the galaxy that had retained their loyalty to him despite him being absent for eons. When his essence returned to the known galaxy, he once more called on his ancient servants, such as the Lords of Fear. The Lords of Fear were six powerful Force-wielding sorcerers loyal to Bogan, having served the Son for more than sixty-thousand years. According to legend, Lords of Fear were ancient Force-users who acted as prophets and healers in ancient times, prior to the establishment of the Jedi Order. Bogan, using his influence, corrupted these prophets with the dark side of the Force and bound them to his will, granting them immortality as they would remain alive for as long as his spirit would remain intact. As the Son was imprisoned on Mortis by the will of his father, his servants went to slumber along with his disappearance. And as his essence returned to the galaxy, they rose once more to build the foundations for his physical return.

k1raKzE9ldpuv74uwrPV3Vhm90zZWLCcaAiJXxNFtHMbK1gBVSzh1cVWLHecTN6lN7M0UQPRAflugE22BgLi53PUBcrEeyNki3iz-9T5-jCP_dF5dE8aoE77-qalfd5kuHCbaiP_TDjqf0m0_HMxxds

The Lords of Fear, disguised as benevolent shamans of the Whills, began slowly corrupting the Jedi Order from within and the Tengean Kingdom, where they posed as traveling magicians that brought gifts from worlds far away. This gave way to the rise of the Order of Bogan, which initially began as a sect that studied more arcane and intricate aspects of the Force, giving the Jedi Council nothing to worry about initially. However, the blindness of the Jedi Council cost them greatly. The innocence of the followers of Bogan soon turned into corruption and darkness, and their lust for knowledge soon turned into dark greed. After centuries of craftful manipulation, Bogan had utterly corrupted one of the Jedi Knights who went by the name of J’Hon Kor, who had taken the lead of the Order of Bogan. J’Hon led his followers to planet Auratera to commence a planet wide ritual on the instructions of Bogan himself. The sole purpose of the ritual was to drain all life on the planet in order to create a vessel for Bogan’s spirit, drawing the midi-chlorians of all the living beings on the planet in order to create a vessel powerful enough to contain his immortal essence. The Jedi Council was alerted of this development, and along five-thousand Jedi Knights, they arrived on Auratera to interrupt the ritual, in which they succeeded. However, Bogan, in secrecy, was resurrected in an incomplete body that was transported to the Unknown Regions as the Order of Bogan fled the planet. They found a new home on the planet Udunn, which still acts as the bastion of the dark order. Auratera was forever scarred by this conflict, with the Acablas vergence becoming haunted by over a thousand fallen Jedi who never found unity with the Force.

The aftermath of the Battle of Auratera led to a year-long conflict between the Order of Bogan and the Jedi Order, who were now backed by the Galactic Alliance and their military. With the help of Bogan, his followers acquired the ancient Star Forge, a Rakatan space station that has the infinite capacity to create starships, droids and weapons of destruction among many other things. With the Order of Bogan now leading an armada capable of matching the navy of the Galactic Alliance, they quickly assaulted the heart of the Galactic Alliance as they besieged Coruscant. J’Hon Kor nearly won the battle, however a Jedi strike team managed to defeat him and destroy the Star Forge subsequently. However, J’Hon Kor had already foreseen his own defeat and left a seed of the Star Forge in the orbit of Udunn in order for a new station to be built and used in the future. While most of the followers of Bogan were defeated and captured, some managed to escape back to Udunn and began preparations to rise again and finally accomplish the vision of their master.

WoQoVedVxBeAaLcm02hYay4XWriyc-Uz0zJ-RwyjZjw_tV1L0UvZ1Cvj7QzVNeXifj5W9y6lRldzAYwcEyTI2jhJLGaLlypnOr6YEoWy3TgAeDZ1rWB7mHfKhSUs0s-0qoQOOvpTnk_mRaPGXXF_9Bg

In the coming centuries, the Order of Bogan sowed much discord within the ranks of the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi Order, infiltrating the galactic government on every level of its hierarchy. One of the greatest examples was the corruption of Admiral Raius, who at the time was the most skilled military commander of the Galactic Alliance. It took nothing else but a promise of an infinite military and its command to sway the admiral who had served the Alliance for his entire life. Pitiful weakness. During the Great Intergalactic War, he pulled out his entire fleet of the war, betraying his people and his government merely to swear allegiance to Bogan. Simultaneously, the Lords of Fear manipulated King Artheon of Tengea into believing that the Jedi were a threat to them. Tengeans, who were used to living for thousands of years, began to dwindle and their lifespans became radically shortened in mere centuries. The Lords of Fear led them to believe that the deities they worshiped, who were in fact the gods of Mortis, were the reason behind their unbelievably long lifespans, which wasn’t untrue. However, it was Bogan who slowly drained the Tengean populace in secrecy and tried to goad them into war with the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi. The Lords of Fear, still guised as benevolent magicians, revealed to the Tengean High King that a Jedi General had killed the entire family of the Mortis gods and that the Jedi wished harm upon the Tengeans. Convinced by the evidence, High King Artheon ordered the invasion which would cripple the galaxy and nearly eradicate the Jedi Order.

Now with the Jedi Order and the Alliance gone, the Order of Bogan has finally taken a step to conquer all life in the galaxy. But, there are still those who seek to resist the master of the dark side of the Force..

Verus out.”
